Federation with Mastodon contacts broken?

Alls, just out of curiosity I started following my other accounts over "here" a few days ago. Noticed that, for my main Mastodon account @Kristian , federation over here seems to lag behind, usually not by hours but by days. Is that what's to be expected, or is there something wrong? If so, which side of the connection should or could be checked first?

@Hubzilla Support Forum Wondering what your issue is exactly.
Yet just reporting, that oly very rarely see lagging of communication to Mastodon accounts from my self-hosted Hubzilla. Everything works in a blink usually. I'd assume, that either the Mastodon server you are communicating with lags itself, and alternatively, that your Hubzilla install runs on a relatively slow server as well? HZ account with 800++ connections here, running several thousand databse queries per second. I assume this must be similar for a Mastodon server. If they have hundreds or even thousands of users there might be a lot of databsing going on :)
