Hubzilla: Why notifications for my own likes????

Hubzilla use case: I have no notifications.

Now i like a post from one of my connections.

Next thing i get is a notification about myself having liked that post.
Ooomph.

Can we shut this off? Only this? Seems a bug or misconception.

@Mario Vavti I liked a post of node9.org (ZOT) - but it happens all the time, with AP, too. btw i also received the notification about your comment above twice.

With Diaspora people too. People like their own post and when you click on the notify they seem to like your message

Just maybe I know what is happening. If I delete or block a comment in a discussion it might be confused?

I just noticed that if I like a post on AP I the the posting party sending a notify that he, in this case, is updating his post.

From what @Mike Macgirvin posted a few days agp about Activities shout be send to the Post owner. Maybe this is what we see. Sounds logical

In case of your nick? Simple that you liked your own post, sometime from another instance

@｛Hans｝ But that's completely useless to know! I never got those types of notifications on Mastodon ... i mean, why should i be notified that i just liked or commented on sthg, wherever that was?

Me neither, I think I even make a bug reports. It does not border to me, happens only to likes it seems

@_jayrope as mentioned i am not able to reproduce the notifications for my own comments or likes. Also not the double notifications that you are seeing. It would be good to find out why you are seeing them so we can fix it...

@Mario Vavti Ja, it's weird. It was like this from v. 7.61, the first i had installed. Interrupted by a complete new install i think of 8.2, when my first install crashed and i didn't know i could have kept the data and identity. Anyhow, i see nobody complainign about those things, sometimes @｛Hans｝ maybe. I suppose it must be owed to server config. But that's the end of what i can see. Hmm. I've no idea how to approach even a problem solving procedure there, and it's a shared host as well.
