This geological formation at the shores of Lake Crowley, California, USA, leaves me fascinated, speechless. It has formed 760.000 years ago, when water has been floating back into very hot tuff after a gigantic volcanic explosion. The water instantly boiled, and so blew it all out. You can't make those things up, really.
