Why is that that the Friendica forums are not supported by Hubzilla but Hubzilla forums are supported by Friendica?
They seem to be a technique that is somewhat similar..

But posts (and even worse: answers) from Friendica forums are single posts w/o any context in Hubzilla. It looks like Friendica manages forums way better in supporting other forums, too. Or is this simply a configuration problem on my site?

Woudl you have an example for a Friendica forum you had such issues with? I'd subscribe to test.

Are you talking about the broken/missing forum mentioning functionality which makes it impossible to post to Friendica forums from Hubzilla?

As for forum threads on Friendica, I can see them just fine.

@Mario Vavti Okay, I updated now (and lost my theme settings so it seems, I will look into that later)

The problem I see did not go away: When I see a post from (i.e.) the Friendica Support Forum in the notifications widget it is not listed below "Forums".
But the main problem I see: This new post is listed below "Network" and when I click it it shows the single post w/o any context. No way to see, what it was an answer to or if it was an answer at all.

This is what I see, when I click on a notifcation created by an answer in the "Friendica Suppor" Forum. No context, simly that answer to "something".

Right, Hubzilla has a native dark theme now...

I am following @Fediverse News here which is a friendica group and it works well so far. Not sure why it would not work for another forum...

@Grischa i guess your hub might not be aware that the channel in question is a forum. You can try to refresh the connection from the edit connection tools. This will refetch and update the record...

@Mario Vavti Strange.. Coming back to my hubzilla instance later, I have my friendica groups in that separate group notifications.. Maybe that update did not "made it into my browser", when I tested it last time after upgrading?
