#Hubzilla just saw an #update to version 8.4. It went quick & smooth here.

@Hans I was wondering, if my own theme would have been discarded by the updater. Will try next time.

@Hans By now i had only altered the codee of redbasic to my needs, the updater actually complained. i guessed this would happen, so i had local copies ready and just deleted the altered files before initiating updat again. That worked.
Next time i would like to not have to copy my own code back into that theme, though. The more tedious the process gets, the more likely it is, that parts of preparation don't happen :)

if you just made a copy of the normal theme and rename/alter it it should work. With the color values, etc... for the current team you do not need to worry I think. It might be stored in the database.

Having a backup (a tested one) is always a good idea
