Just got to the third of Steve Reich's Nonesuch Recommendations, and it's Gamelan!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dIwPOo3oNgI'm listening to each of his recommendations in order. I love Kronos Quartet already but hadn't heard that record and it's super interesting, particularly in the context of the rest of their work.
The second is interesting, as piano music goes. Turns out I have developed a deep dislike of piano music — particularly of the piano, rather than forte variety.
Now, for Gamelan!
