Why does this happen at all? Our independent tracking-free email music newsletter on kliklak.net, running on Mailman, now gets boycotted by our own shared host (Grrrmph!) after almost 25 years of operation.
The shared host started using spam protection 3rd party providers, that don't allow for more than 100 emails being sent per hour. I don't even mind that limit, it would only mean, that our 1500 subscribers are getting their info in batches of 100.
Instead of sending in batches the provider drops all subscribers above 100 completely though, and even started mass-unsubscribing them. Any talks to the shared host support were unsuccesful. #

Do not make a hosting account on hostforweb.net. The were great back then: ONLY.
