A sign on a bulletin board reads: BEWARE OF ARTISTS. They mix with all classes of society and are therefore the most dangerous. "This is an actual poster from the mid-fifties issued by Senator Joe McCarthy at the height of the red scare and anti-communist _witch hunt in Washington. All artists were suspect."
